Sherwood Industries Ltd. is the manufacturer of the 'Enviro' brand of heating products . It is located in Saanichton (approximately 16km north of Victoria) on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Sherwood Industries has extensive manufacturing facilities where they employ cutting edge technologies such as CAD (computer aided design) and a state of the art steel cutting laser, all designed to give you the best engineering and design for your home.

Sherwood Industries started producing high efficiency room heating appliances in 1989 under the 'Enviro Fire' brand name.

At first the company built the 'Seefire' wood stove, which was closely followed by the introduction of the 'Envirofire' EF-1 pellet-burning stove. This groundbreaking technology quickly established Sherwood Industries as one of the leading pellet stove manufacturers of hearth products in North America. During the subsequent four years, new models were introduced including the EF-2 and EF-3 pellet stoves.

Pellet Technology uses a waste by-product material from the timber industry. This source of fuel is a renewable resource and is readily available. Unlike traditional wood stoves and fireplaces, pellet stoves are environmentally friendly (producing very low exhaust emissions).

Having built an outstanding reputation in the pellet stove industry, Sherwood Industries began to diversify into the high efficiency, visible flame gas heating industry with the introduction of the 'Envirogas' EFG freestanding gas stove in 1993. New products have followed rapidly ever since. 1995 saw the introduction of the EG 95 freestanding stove and fireplace insert.
